The production Manager is responsible for training, directing and supervising production personnel in the performance of their assigned duties and achievement of department production, quality and safety goals. The general responsibility of the Production Manager will be to direct and coordinate the activities of production personnel in order to attain production goals consistent with cost quality and delivery requirements.   Additional responsibilities will include:  

• Develop and implement programs to reduce scrap and improve productivity.
• Assist in the development of the strategic plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the function.
  Assist in production planning
• Control and direct the manufacturing operations through effective scheduling, budgeting, and human resource management programs.
• Identify areas for quality improvement and initiate problem solving activities to improve quality performance.
• Participate in the hiring process of employees.
• Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
• Coordinates production activities with other functional groups such as planning and distribution.
